Missed MB2 (by Ilya Mer)

Tooth #26 (14) – accidental finding on X-ray. The patient’s cheaf complaint was bleeding while flossing between first and second molar. The crown was done 2 years before. According to what patient was talking the RCT was done more than 5 years before and a new bulid up with FP was done before  a new crown placement but RCT was not re-evaluated. The treatment plan was to retreat the tooth through the existing crown then replace it.

The whole pulp chamber was full of infection, missed MB2 probably was not the only cause of inflammation

The MB2 canal was found and cleaned at the first appointment. Calcium hydroxide was placed for more than 4 weeks because of schedule’s reasons
Final X-rays
Obturation was done at the second visit. There was no patency in any canal but MB2. Obturation technique was injection by warm GP with Obtura gun.
