All clinical cases/Cases by Ilya Mer/Endodontics/Follow up/Red Russian 2011 April 4, 2011 Resorcinol tooth revision (by Ilya Mer) Русская версия Patient was sent to revision of #46 treated with resorcinol formaldehyde technique 20 years ago. There were symptoms and PAL on mesial root, visible partially due to ostesclerosis. Brown-red staining of the tooth confirmed the guess. During previous "endo treatment" the pulp chamber was partially exposed only in area of mesial root. I have doubt that a dentist had tried to save the tooth structure witn minimal invasive access. But we definitely could use this situation. After cleaning and shaping procedures were completed calcium hydroxide was applied for 2 weeks. Restoration by dual cure composite was performed at the same visit with obturation. 6 month recall showed healing in a progress. The tooth was asymptomatic.
