Don’t touch a marginal ridge! (by Ilya Mer)

A deep distal caries caused pulpitis. During the first visit  access, amputation of coronal pulp part and application of calcium hydroxide were done. At  the second appointment endotreatment was completed and amalcore as well. Trying to save distal part of marginal ridge I cleaned the caries from the pulp chamber toward distal aspect  it took me close to 20 minutes. IMHO this tooth doesn’t need  to be crowned. I had to to remove rubber dam to perform the core. Hate it!
